FAQ: Here are the Top-5 Frequently Asked Questions:
Q1:
Why is everyone talking about Kick Boxing ?
A1:
Kick Boxing is the natural evolution in the fitness industry. Kickboxing For HealthTM has logged over 135,000 client hours and over 10,000 INJURY FREE, HIGH ENERGY, SWEAT PRODUCING CLASSES and growing every week. The Kickboxing for HealthTM workout combines kicks, punches, flexibility, cardiovascular activity, and strength training to offer the practitioner a total body workout that can burn from 800 to 1200 calories an hour and this type of workout has been rated by Muscle and Fitness as one of the "Top Ten workouts EVER". The Kickboxing for HealthTM workout has been chosen as an accredited course at Anne Arundel Community College.

Q2:
Will I become a Kick Boxer?
A2:
No! Kick Boxing For HealthTM is a conditioning program, it is NOT designed to turn you into a kick boxer or martial artist. That would take years of specialized training.

Kick Boxing For HealthTM IS designed to help you LOSE INCHES..GAIN MUSCLE TONE..BUILD STRENGTH AND ENDURANCE..LEARN DEFENSIVE TECHNIQUES and HAVE FUN

Q3:
What makes KICKBOXING FOR HEALTHTM better than "Aerobic Boxing/Kickboxing", "Cardio Kickboxing" and "Tae Bo" type programs I see everywhere?
A3:
KICKBOXING FOR HEALTHTM is an "Anaerobic" based program. Resistance training by "gloving up" and working on targets and instruction in actual Kick Boxing, Boxing, and Defensive techniques gives the practitioner a total body workout. Many of the "Aerobic", "Cardio" and "Tae Bo" type programs you have seen in gyms and martial arts schools are not the primary activity of the facility, but a "Hook" to attract new members and take advantage of it's growing popularity. Unfortunately, some instructors have little or no background or specialized training for this type of program.

KICKBOXING FOR HEALTHTM Instructors and assistants are personally trained by Mr. Steve Kerstetter and certified in the Kickboxing for HealthTM program. They work with each member to insure that proper techniques are learned and used, thereby avoiding injury and the "lost" or "unable to keep up" feeling.

OUR GOAL IS TO HAVE FUN WHILE "KICKING AND PUNCHING YOUR WAY TO TOTAL FITNESS"

Q4:
Do I need special equipment?
A4:
Not in the beginning. There are gloves and wraps available for use. However, you would not wear another's sneakers so we strongly recommend you purchase your own WAlDORFTM Kickboxing gear available on site. WALDORFTM offers a glove designed to fit a women's hand (and in colors too)!

Q5:
What will I be doing?
A5:
You will be instructed on proper wrapping of the hands and wrists. Then our Certified Instructors and Assistants will take you through a 60 minute, non-contact, professional fighter's aerobic and anaerobic training routine. Cardio-vascular, proper technique, explosive combinations, bag work, flexibility and conditioning exercises. EVERYTHING except the bruises. You will "Glove up", lose inches and gain strength while you "Kick and punch your way to total fitness"
